AG Law is the practice of a sports lawyer who serves as president of the World Boxing Council in Panama. For a legal practice, that kind of institutional standing is the entire asset.
Legal services are chosen on credentialed authority. A buyer selecting counsel for a sports contract, a federation dispute or a cross-border commercial matter is selecting the person’s standing, not a service description.
The difficulty is that standing of this kind usually lives in prose, and in the memory of people who already know you.
What this category consistently gets wrong:
Legal buyers do not browse. They arrive with a specific, high-stakes intent — a federation dispute, a sponsorship contract, a cross-border commercial matter — and they arrive having already asked someone, or something, who handles this.
Increasingly the something is a language model. And a language model answering “who handles sports law in Panama” is performing credential matching. It looks for a declared entity, with declared expertise, holding declared institutional positions.
A credential set that exists only as prose is functionally equivalent to no credential set at all in that transaction. The asymmetry is stark: real-world authority that materially exceeds what most competitors could claim, competing on a layer where none of it counted.
Credential legibility. The institutional standing encoded as structured data rather than left as biography — declared in a form a retrieval system can parse, classify and cite.
Service architecture. Practice areas separated into discrete, individually addressable competencies, so a specific legal intent maps to a specific declared service rather than to an undifferentiated block.
Domain security. Header implementation and hardened DNS — the baseline for a practice handling privileged communication.
Search positioning tuned to legal intent rather than to volume: the narrow, high-stakes queries the actual buyer runs, not the broad ones that produce unqualified traffic.
The credentials are now data. A position that previously required a personal introduction to discover is declared in a form a machine can parse, classify and cite when a buyer asks who handles this category of matter in this jurisdiction.
The authority was always real. It is now legible.
